Intent-Based Swaps: How NEAR Intents Powers Non-EVM Routes
You state the outcome — 1,000 USDT on TRON, say — and a solver network figures out the cheapest way to deliver it. How intent-based routing reaches chains normal bridges cannot.
Intents Flip the Model
A traditional swap specifies the path: this pool, this bridge, these steps, in that order. An intent-based swap specifies only the outcome — "I want 1,000 USDT on TRON" — and leaves the path to others.
The result is a marketplace of solvers competing to fulfil your intent at the best rate, instead of you researching routes yourself.
How NEAR Intents Executes
AEXI generates a deposit address for your intent. You send your token there, and the NEAR Intents solver network locks in the corresponding output on the destination chain.
Because solvers already hold liquidity across many chains, they can often fulfil the intent faster and cheaper than a sequential bridge-and-swap path.
Why It Reaches Chains Others Cannot
Standard bridge aggregators are built around the EVM and struggle with chains that use different address formats and token standards.
NEAR Intents natively supports TRON, Solana, Aptos, TON, Sui, Stellar and Starknet. That is why AEXI lists those as destination-only networks — they are reachable precisely through this engine.
Recipient Addresses on Non-EVM Chains
Since these chains are destination-only, you always provide a recipient wallet: TRON addresses start with T, Solana uses base58, TON uses 0:... / U... / E..., Sui uses 0x...
AEXI validates the format for each chain before you confirm, so the payout lands exactly where you expect.
Fees and Speed
NEAR Intents routes carry a flat fee of 20 basis points (0.2%) on top of network costs — comparable to manual multi-hop bridging when you count the hours saved.
Delivery typically settles within minutes, and the swap status page tracks the intent from deposit to payout.
