Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website you visit. Cookies help websites function efficiently and securely. AEXI uses a minimal set of cookies — only those required to keep the platform working and secure.

We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, cross-site tracking, or user profiling. Our philosophy is data minimization: the public swap and Stablecoin Exchange flows do not require cookies to function.

2. How We Use Cookies

AEXI uses cookies solely for the following purposes:

  • Session management: Keeping you logged in across page loads for platform management features.
  • Security: Authenticating sensitive operations and confirming multi-factor authentication status.
  • Platform integrity: Ensuring that requests are made from legitimate sessions and preventing cross-site request forgery (CSRF).

Cookies are not used to track your swap activity, wallet addresses, or Stablecoin Exchange transactions.

3. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are necessary for the core functionality and security of the Platform. They cannot be switched off. AEXI uses the following:

  • Session cookie: Used for session management. It is HTTP-only and secure, and is never shared with third parties. This cookie is essential for maintaining your authenticated session.
  • Authentication cookie: An HMAC-signed cookie used to confirm multi-factor authentication status. It is not shared with third parties and does not track user behavior. This cookie is temporary and expires after a short period.

Neither of these cookies is set for regular users interacting with the swap, bridge, or Stablecoin Exchange features.

4. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, AEXI may use browser local storage for the following purposes:

  • Wallet connection state: Storing your preferred wallet provider and connection status locally in your browser to avoid re-prompting on each page load. This data never leaves your device.
  • UI preferences: Theme settings, language preferences, and other display options.
  • Recent pairs: Your recently viewed swap pairs for quick access.

Local storage data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to AEXI servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

5. No Tracking or Advertising Cookies

AEXI does not use:

  • Tracking cookies for analytics, advertising, or user profiling.
  • Third-party advertising cookies (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar).
  • Social media cookies or widgets that track your browsing behavior.
  • Fingerprinting techniques or device identification cookies.

We do not sell or share cookie data with data brokers, advertisers, or any third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

When you connect a wallet or use certain features, third-party providers may set their own cookies or local storage entries:

  • Wallet providers (Reown AppKit / WalletConnect, MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet): May use local storage to manage the wallet connection session. These are governed by the respective third parties' privacy policies.
  • Blockchain explorers (Etherscan, Arbiscan, etc.): If you click through to a block explorer link, that site may set its own cookies.

AEXI has no control over third-party cookies. Please review the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party service you interact with.

7. Cookie Retention

Cookies set by AEXI have the following retention periods:

  • Session cookie: Expires when you log out or when the browser session ends, whichever is earlier.
  • Authentication cookie: Expires after a short period (typically one hour) and must be re-verified.

Local storage entries persist until you manually clear them or until you clear your browser data. They are not automatically transmitted to our servers.

8. Mobile Devices

The same cookie and local storage principles apply when you access AEXI from a mobile browser or mobile wallet browser. In-app browsers used by wallet apps (e.g., MetaMask in-app browser) may have different default settings for cookies and local storage.

If you access AEXI through a wallet app's in-app browser, the wallet provider's privacy and cookie policies may also apply. We recommend reviewing those policies separately.

9. Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect platform management features but does not impact core swap or exchange services.

Instructions for the most common browsers:

To clear local storage, open your browser's developer tools (F12), go to the Application or Storage tab, and delete the entries under "Local Storage" for aexi.cc.

10. Do Not Track (DNT)

AEXI respects the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. Regardless of your DNT setting, AEXI does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Our essential cookies are unaffected by DNT settings, as they are required for security and session management.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
